Ailsa Cullens is an Scottish based artist/illustrator who creates a lot of artwork in the theme of nature.
She illustrates such forms as plants, and animals alike, and has a very rough, and scratchy style in the majority of her work.
She states that her preferred choice of media is inks, coloured pencil, silk screen printing, as well as working with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.
This is a style that I greatly enjoy, and one that I try to work with in my own signature way.

She describes herself as a freelance artist, and she uses social media such as blogpost to help promote her work.
She also has an etsy account, where she sells much items as shirts, tote bags, and she is also open toward commissioning.

I personally really love her style, and it is a style that I try to create my own artwork in.
I love the loose medium of pen, and the range of colour that a good set of watercolour pigment provides.
I tend to find the more looser styles of artwork more expressive than one of precision and focus. I feel as if the looser style allows me to be more experimental, as well as productive.

One of my own illustrations using my own personal style, that I feel resembles Cullen's style a bit.
