The AOI awards

Every year for nearly four decades, the AOI, which is an abbreviation for the association of illustrators, holds an international competition in which many diverse, and talented illustrators enter.
The competition provides all the entrants, a chance to promote their own work, and also offer them a way in which to perhaps gain international opportunities.

Work that is submitted in the AOI awards are reviewed by a jury of international professionals within the industry, and if one's work is selected, they have their work featured in an exhibition that tours the UK, with an estimated audience exposure of around 40,000 visitors.

Some of the judges that work with the awards, can be seen in the image above.

I am not currently a member of the AOI, however it is something that I am looking to once I feel as if my work has developed enough. Who knows, maybe one day I may enter the competition if the opportunity arises.
