Artist research - Dan Mumford

Yesterday, the talented artist and freelance illustrator, who was speaking alongside Drew Milward, came into the lecture theatre to talk about his work, and also about such other aspects as industry, methods of working, and how he moved his work into the spotlight.

I found the talk to be very interesting, and I really did take note of most of the things that he had to say.
I particularly took a note of his insight into the industry, and I can count on his view as he is an established illustrator, who has been in the field for years.

I personally love his artwork, as I feel that it not only is his work very well illustrated, but it is also a style that is quite unique, and Dan of course understands the industry well, and has a good level of professional association.

I talked to him and Drew after the lectures, and we had a discussion about such aspects as the industry, and also work practises.
They provided me with a helpful critique of my work, and also expressed interest in my animal zine.

I hope that they both return for the final year, that will be great if so.
